F.A.Q.
How do you write?
That is really the work of my newsletter to explore, and each book and story and essay that I write. If you want to watch it happen and glean what you can from my own attempts at articulating, subscribe and hold tight, and read the archives in the meantime--especially posts tagged “writing process” or “writing advice.”
You're a teacher. Will you teach me how to write?
Sometimes. If you sign up for my classes when I teach public ones. I'll share them here when that happens. Otherwise, see above.
How do I get arms like yours Touraine's?
Same as the above, really, though I can say that I have added this post here in particular to help get people started. Most importantly, like writing, it's the process of consistency and patience and study. Think holistically. You may be astounded to know that I rarely do bicep curls, if at all.
How do I get a signed book?
Best way is to come to an event! You can also order books from The Common Press and Gay's the Word, to bookshops in London that will, if you ask for a signed copy, generally be able to get me in to sign them. (Might take a little longer than standard shipping, etc.) I also hold periodic giveaways.
Well where can I see you? Do you have any interviews?
Check my Events page. There are also loads more interviews if you just google them—or search your favorite provider, like YouTube, or podcasts, etc.
Will you come do an event with my school/bookstore/book club?
Generally, I love meeting readers and doing events! I cannot always say yes because of time, and also, I am based in London (UK), so travel will also be a relevant concern—but message me through my contact form (NOT INSTAGRAM), and we can see what we can do.
